12.50 mile - Lebanon Valley Rail-Trail

This project is being completed in multiple phases.

Phase 1 – Completed in 2001 – Privately Funded (4.75 miles)

Phase 2 – Completed in 2002 – TE Funds (Federal) (6.00 miles)

Phase 3 – Completed in 2004 - DCNR Funds (1.50 miles)

Phase 4 – Completed in 2005 – DCNR/TE Funds (0.25 mile)

Phase 5 – To be completed in 2008

 

LVRT retained Wilson Consulting Group, PC in 2000 to engineer and manage this project through various agencies.

 

Phase 2 and 5 utilized Federal Funds and were subject to PennDOT review and approval.

 

Overall, the trail includes the re-decking and rehabilitation of seven bridges, improvements to drainage facilities, five at-grade crossings and two parking areas.  DEP permit requirements were waived upon request by Wilson Consulting Group, PC.

  • HOP Permits/Signing/At-grade Crossings/Safety Review approval
  • Trail Design/Parking lot layout and design 
  • Bridge design
